The Swiss, the Green and the Network
RECONNECT: international cooperation and sustainable touring
This year’s edition of jazzahead! focused on three former partner countries, Spain (2012), France (2015) andSwitzerland (2016). In connection with the important theme of “green touring”, the three neighbours were selected as partner regions to promote artistic exchange between them and beyond.
The programme included various network formats among the partner countries as well as three guaranteed Swiss showcase slots. The concept of international cooperation and cross-border networking involving bookers, organisers and musicians from the partner countries proved to be intensive but very productive.
Swiss presence
In addition to fantastic showcases by the LOUIS MATUTE LARGE ENSEMBLE, the MANON MULLENER 5TET and YILIAN CAÑIZARES, as well as concerts by ALPHA-RAY and STEFAN RUSCONI as part of the Club Night, Switzerland was also present at jazzahead! 2025 with the Swiss Music booth.

Speeddating and Pitching-Sessions
The delegation was also responsible for various networking events. The speed-dating session between musicians and promoters from all the countries represented were particularly successful, as were the pitching sessions, in which Swiss acts brought all their skills to bear.
The 20th edition of jazzahead! will take place from 22 to 26 April 2026.
