Between music and video: strengthening interdisciplinarity and innovation
The audiovisual language of the music industry is changing, which is why the Solothurn Film Festival is expanding its offering as part of the ‘SO PRO’ industry platform. With the support of FONDATION SUISA, the Solothurn Film Festival is launching ‘Screen to Sound’, a new creative lab that replaces the ‘Best Swiss Video Clip’ competition.
This unique event invites musicians and directors to collaborate on developing new interdisciplinary creations. These could include a visual album, an immersive music experience or live projections for concerts. All ideas are welcome, especially those that dare to try something new and take the dialogue between sound and image to the next level.
A selection of projects will be supervised for one day by renowned experts from the music and audiovisual scene. At the end of the day, a development grant of CHF 10,000 will be awarded, divided between one to three projects. And to conclude: a concert where music and video come together live!
Registration for project ideas closes on 5 December 2025.

«Screen to Sound» is aimed at musicians and directors who want to develop audiovisual formats to accompany a Swiss music project.
