    Clouds over Cannes

Midem 2018

5-8 June, Cannes (FR)

Midem faces some clouds, but the future looks bright.

Yes, June does not match with the agendas of all delegates. And yes, the lovely summer temperatures make it more attractive to hang out in one of the cafes and bars along the Croisette than to spend the day inside the Palais de Festivals. Nevertheless, Midem has done its homework: a new summery image, a change in management and a really cool showcase venue are just some of the improvements that have contributed to an increase of 9% in delegates' numbers since 2017.

Swiss singer-songwriter and MIDEM Artist Accelerator finalist Damian Lynn played a fantastic showcase on Sunrise Stage on Wednesday night.

The 24-companies-strong Swiss delegation, in particular consisting of publishers, labels, producers and artists, showed themselves happy with their contacts made and insights gained. All of them were during the four days gathering at the Swiss Pavilion, for the first time appearing in its brand new look SWISS MUSIC

The stand is an engagement of FONDATION SUISA, SUISA and the Swiss Foundation of Phonoproducers. The registration is each year published on the FONDATION SUISA website.
