«Get Going!» contributions and «Carte Blanche» awarded for the first time

As part of FONDATION SUISA's new funding policy, four "Get Going!" contributions and one "Carte Blanche" were awarded to musicians for the first time this year.

Beat Gysin, Bertrand Denzler, Michael Künstle and the duo Eclecta (Andrina Bollinger and Marena Whitcher) will each receive a "Get Going!" incentive of CHF 25,000.

The "Carte Blanche" in the amount of CHF 80,000 goes to Cécile Marti.

At the beginning of 2018, FONDATION SUISA's Board of Trustees decided to revamp its funding policy in order to meet the contemporary needs of Swiss music-making even more efficiently. Instead of awarding prizes retroactively, the contributions "Get Going!" and "Carte Blanche" do not support projects within the framework of traditional application funding, but rather initiate and co-finance creative and artistic processes outside the usual genre, age or project categories.
