Le 29e WOMEX avec une participation record de la Suisse
La pluie parfois diluvienne qui s’est abattue sur La Corogne n’a pas entamé la bonne humeur des 2’750 professionnels internationaux.Du 25 au 29 octobre, artistes, agents, organisateurs, labels, journalistes et autres de la branche musicale mondiale ont pu créer de nouveaux contacts et renforcer leur réseau sur les différents stands du salon au Palexco Convention Centre, situé sur le port de la ville côtière du nord de l’Espagne.
L’un des stands les plus visibles, qui arborait fièrement les couleurs de SWISS MUSIC – noir sur jaune – a accueilli pas moins de 42 professionnels suisses, un nombre jamais atteint auparavant. La Suisse était également représentée dans le programme officiel des showcases: Vendredi soir, le producteur et DJ genevois Pekodjinn a fait danser les « WOMEXicans » et s’est assuré une grande attention internationale.
L’édition anniversaire de la Worldwide Music Expo aura lieu du 23 au 27 octobre 2024 à Manchester (Royaume-Uni).
